Október 31-én rendezték meg Londonban az idei Golden Joystick Awards díjkiosztóját, ahol a Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare négy kategóriában is győzedelmeskedni tudott. Jól szerepelt még a Grand Theft Auto IV is, hiszen két díjat sikerült elhódítania. A további díjazottak között megtaláljuk a Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, a Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, a Fallout 3, a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots és a Super Smash Bros. című játékokat.
